A Note About Labeling!
We often use the term ‘scam victim’ in our articles, but this is a convenience to help those searching for information in search engines like Google. It is just a convenience and has no deeper meaning. If you have come through such an experience, YOU are a Survivor! It was not your fault. You are not alone! Axios!
A Question of Trust
At the SCARS Institute, we invite you to do your own research on the topics we speak about and publish, Our team investigates the subject being discussed, especially when it comes to understanding the scam victims-survivors experience. You can do Google searches but in many cases, you will have to wade through scientific papers and studies. However, remember that biases and perspectives matter and influence the outcome. Regardless, we encourage you to explore these topics as thoroughly as you can for your own awareness.
Statement About Victim Blaming
Some of our articles discuss various aspects of victims. This is both about better understanding victims (the science of victimology) and their behaviors and psychology. This helps us to educate victims/survivors about why these crimes happened and to not blame themselves, better develop recovery programs, and to help victims avoid scams in the future. At times this may sound like blaming the victim, but it does not blame scam victims, we are simply explaining the hows and whys of the experience victims have.
These articles, about the Psychology of Scams or Victim Psychology – meaning that all humans have psychological or cognitive characteristics in common that can either be exploited or work against us – help us all to understand the unique challenges victims face before, during, and after scams, fraud, or cybercrimes. These sometimes talk about some of the vulnerabilities the scammers exploit. Victims rarely have control of them or are even aware of them, until something like a scam happens and then they can learn how their mind works and how to overcome these mechanisms.
Articles like these help victims and others understand these processes and how to help prevent them from being exploited again or to help them recover more easily by understanding their post-scam behaviors. Learn more about the Psychology of Scams at www.ScamPsychology.org

i was in a LDRfor 9 months with a filipina from negros occidental. i met her right before odette hit and destroyed the families home . i paid to have it rebuilt new roof etc. also an allowance for their daily needs around 250to 300k pesos in total . i planned to go there in june but had to cancel . long story short i started hearing sex noises moaning and such on our video calls which we talked everyday minimum 6-7 hours she would even watch me sleep until i would get up for work.so i started recording our conversations with an audio recorder. on the recordings you can hear what you woulkdnt be able to with your ears alone . so with the help of some audiio editing software its very clear to me. she denys all. fyi she never directly asked for money but she made it known they are dirt poor . am i a paranoid asshole?
No, you are not paranoid. However, what it really means is unclear. Very poor Filipinos can have multiple families living in the same house. If she was on the call with you while you heard this other stuff – it could mean it was that or she could be a hooker living in a bordello. If it is a scam, she will not tell you the truth. In our opinion, you should end a long-distance relationship (assuming it is real) as soon as distrust emerges.
Trying to post a photo of one of the most notorious scammer in Davao! She actually is part of a “hub” of scamming, thieving drug dealers and liars in the Philippines. Jaecken Ann Lanchita, many aliases.

A guy calling himself Emerick Kenedy has been talking to me on Instagram, he said his email is emerickkenedy88@gmail.com. he is asking for money to repair some machinery and he can,t get to his money as he is on an oil rig. He wants me to send it to an address in Virginia, he has sent me the bank details. Has anyone heard of this person??
I will try to leave a full report. . . . The real name is EULALYN DIANSAY CLARIN. . . .on Facebook she has used EULA LAINE ECLAIRE……………EULA ENIAL CLARKE and, currently AL LAINE KLARKE. True: Her father was a principal in CATEEL, and her mother was a teacher in CATEEL. She has had 2 children from 2 different men. And, recently, from ALAN CLARK CLARIN, her first cousin, and husband of Bernadeth Clarin (2 children) She does not seem to be on a romance website, but she may be using her teenage daughter who has become adept at lying. The daughter might be going by Novee or Angelica–different last name. EULALYN…………uses a lot of talk about THE LORD, but is also posting how sexy (not really) she is at 45. She says she attended Atenao de Davao. The scamming really started when she started a relationship with her cousin, ALAN CLARK CLARIN, Cabuntian Barangay, Davao City. There are numerous people looking for him. He is a taxi driver. His deceased father, PACIFICO CLARIN, wanted him found, but it is tough for the family, because of resources to “nail them”. EULALYN CLARIN is a master of talking about her parents, her Catholicism, her children. . . etc. etc., but she could have many men on the hook. She might use WhatsApp. I don’t see her on any romance website, so it’s irrelevant. Her favorite thing to say is: “Take care as I care.” I will try to post photos later. She’s not just scamming, online, she’s scamming family and putting her daughters at risk. Her daughters’ missed 6th and 8th grade when she got pregnant with first cousin. She says the 2nd father of her 2 children was a drug addict in Leyte. I’m not sure. Maybe not. The rest of the Diansay and Clarin family seem to be professionals with integrity in Bohol, Cateel, Davao and Gingoog City
It’s great that you are getting ideas from this post as well as from our dialogue made at this
place.
I pay a visit each day some websites and blogs to read articles, but
this blog gives feature based articles.
Is that good or bad?
Lovie Bernaldez. Romance scammer, qualified theft, and walkerprostitute in Taytay and Cainta Area.
Jaecken ann Aznar Lanchita! Another of the millions of female scammers. Lives in Carmen, Panabo Davao. Sells drugs for her husband, prostitutes, and internet scam for marriage or child support. Seems like 99% of the females in the Philippines are scammers and 80% of the males are drug dealers!
Do you have pica or videos to know who it is
I discovered the same thing while visiting Phillipines. Every one of the females, young and old have a screwed up story which is total BS!! They tried to scam me and rob me every single day until finally I had enough and left early. What a bunch of scumbag liars and thieves!
How do i add to this post? I met a filipina girl on SKOUT app, we chatted and exchanged letters for a year. Find out she has a few foreign boyfriends this whole time (4+). Luckily i never went to visit her, she has since deleted/changed her web presence after i confronted her about it.
Her name is Janette Valiente Tiomico & she is employed at a Christian radio station as the secretary. http://dzmr.febc.ph/about/
I have 300+ photos of her, but im not trying to revenge on her at all. I just want other guys out there on dating sites to be aware.
You just did
please tell me more about it
Not sure what else there is to tell? How do i post pictures? I think i should post at least one photo so people know incase she is using a different name.
Look in our menu for how to report.
How you found out that she has other boyfriends and at which time you had contact with her?
In the case of Philippines scammers, it is both cheap and easy enough to hire a real private investigator. A hundred or two will get you your answer. BUT never waste money on African scammers, the investigators are scammers too,
Can you prove that she has four boyfriends at the same time?
Tobias Your hostility is not welcome. Rarely do people have PROOF when they discover a scam, which is a big reason so few scammers risk going to jail. If you don’t like the answer move on.
i know this Clarina Barranta!
how can i help the victim?
Wel, we doubt she is able to return the money.
My husband is the victim!!
He cheated on me, and I found out who she is.
Did she blackmail him ?
He says he kicked her out of our condo a few days ago.
Our marriage is down the drain now, after 30 years !
What do you know about this Clarins ?
Tx
That doesn’t sound like a romance scam at all. If she was local, it isn’t.
Karma sa banang cheater.
