FAQ: How Do You Properly Report Scammers?
It is essential that law enforcement knows about scams & scammers, even though there is nothing (in most cases) that they can do.
Always report scams involving money lost or where you received money to:
- Local Police – ask them to take an “informational” police report – say you need it for your insurance
- Your National Police or FBI (www.IC3.gov)
- The Scars Worldwide Reporting Network HERE or on www.Anyscam.com
This helps your government understand the problem, and allows law enforcement to add scammers on watch lists worldwide.

A Note About Labeling!
We often use the term ‘scam victim’ in our articles, but this is a convenience to help those searching for information in search engines like Google. It is just a convenience and has no deeper meaning. If you have come through such an experience, YOU are a Survivor! It was not your fault. You are not alone! Axios!
A Question of Trust
At the SCARS Institute, we invite you to do your own research on the topics we speak about and publish, Our team investigates the subject being discussed, especially when it comes to understanding the scam victims-survivors experience. You can do Google searches but in many cases, you will have to wade through scientific papers and studies. However, remember that biases and perspectives matter and influence the outcome. Regardless, we encourage you to explore these topics as thoroughly as you can for your own awareness.
Statement About Victim Blaming
Some of our articles discuss various aspects of victims. This is both about better understanding victims (the science of victimology) and their behaviors and psychology. This helps us to educate victims/survivors about why these crimes happened and to not blame themselves, better develop recovery programs, and to help victims avoid scams in the future. At times this may sound like blaming the victim, but it does not blame scam victims, we are simply explaining the hows and whys of the experience victims have.
These articles, about the Psychology of Scams or Victim Psychology – meaning that all humans have psychological or cognitive characteristics in common that can either be exploited or work against us – help us all to understand the unique challenges victims face before, during, and after scams, fraud, or cybercrimes. These sometimes talk about some of the vulnerabilities the scammers exploit. Victims rarely have control of them or are even aware of them, until something like a scam happens and then they can learn how their mind works and how to overcome these mechanisms.
Articles like these help victims and others understand these processes and how to help prevent them from being exploited again or to help them recover more easily by understanding their post-scam behaviors. Learn more about the Psychology of Scams at www.ScamPsychology.org

she is a scam!!
The scammer that is using Ravens name and pictures in Ghana is now going by “Blessing Bobodu” and she said she was originally from Galena IL and that her full name was Blessing Bobodu Williams. She too asked me to send her $170 for foodstuffs. And to buy her a new Apple IPhone so she could talk to me and send me new updates photos but I knew it was a scam. So guys if she hits you up under that name don’t fall for it okay!!
So did you report her on our site or is this just a rant?
Guys! Y’all been scammed! Does Riley look like a Lukman Nuhu to y’all?.. And what on earth would she be doing in Ghana?.. Shooting porn movies with Ghanians?.. I dont think so!
Thank you for your comment, guys fall for the photo and never think through the LOGIC of what they are told! Ever hear of Ebola and the outbreak just a couple of years ago? That was in GHANA too! You really think American porn stars go to Ghana? Come on!

I wrote to you on January 19th about raven riley and was told to do more research on her and being scammed. Where do I look??? I am fairly new to the sites, and have seen a video of her, which could or could not be fake. Her phone is still the same 233 24 769 8138, and she calls me once a week, but I chat with her on yahoo very often. She uses the address there as loveisgood2003. Can you verify she/he is a scammer. if this isn’t her, then whoever it is, is very good. I need help please and soon, thank you for any help you can give me
You do not need to do research on Raven Riley. If you asked us if someone was a scammer, then you needed to do a search first on Google, and by the images to see if they were already reported. Search for the p[hone and email address is what we would have meant.
isn’t Ghana in the ivory coast and do you know if this woman’s phone number is really for raven riley, if someone could call to see and not let on she is being checked on, I would sure like to know
Gary look at a map. Ghana and Ivory Coast are separate countries
this woman is presently a part of my life and says she wants to marry me. I would like to know if she is someone posing as her, raven riley. Her real name she says is Lukman nuhu and her phone number is from Accra Ghana and is 233247698138, can I find out if she is really raven riley and this is her phone number for real. She wants money for a traditional marriage????
You are being scammed, do more research
Its good when you asked for a pic of them with a paper with your name on it they can’t the best is when you asked for a real pic of them because you know that not them make it sound like you are really mad some times they will tell you that they don’t do the scam no more that a lie so all the date sites are scams i have names phone numbers addresses oh Nuhu i have two more with the same last name
What would Riley be doing in Ghana?.. Shooting porn movies with Ghanians?.. I dont think so lol
She is now in ivory cost…
