Brenda, whoever is chatting with you is or was a scammer. I’m finding out they are getting better at writing English and more smooth in their ways.
There are more than 100,000 scammers operating. If you have not lost money yet, simply report “him” on our website (look in the menu) then block him.
I am in contact with this man…have been since 2017…It’s hard for me to believe he is a scammer…yes, I have sent him things…and that bothers me…but his behavior is different than other scammers…and until 2/17 I had never heard of scammers before….and now, I feel as though I could write a book…I even made friends with 2 admitted scammers…one from Ghana and one from Nigeria…I learned a lot…and its an entire different world…I have tried to research O’Connor and can’t find an end…….Please, help me…put me out of my misery…can you tell me his present situation with certainty…I want to believe with all my heart…but I am so afraid…just tell me the truth…thank you
Brenda, regardless of the ending you want, you are dealing with a scammer and have to accept that. Living in denial is not healthy and it prevents you from both recovering and addressing the issues that brought you to this point. The truth is you are living in a fantasy. That is brutally blunt but you need to hear it and set aside your denial. You need to stop talking with scammers or any other strangers online as you appear to have developed a dependency. We encourage you to join a support group or seek local counseling to help you move past this. We offer support groups as well. Sadly, you are one of 15 million other victims, and about one quarter are just like you. We wish you the best.
