In The Beginning

In the days of AmericaOnline, Compuserve, Prodigy, and even the early days of the web in the 90s, it was all about exploring the amazing world online. You would reach out to complete strangers and develop incredible connections, making friends in the farthest corners of the globe.

But Those Days Are Gone!

Today we live in a world of more than a billion fakes everywhere. MORE THAN A BILLION FAKES!

No one can afford to reach out to strangers. If you do you will automatically be viewed as a scammer, and if they reach out to you then they are the scammer – by definition.

We now live in a world, much like it used to be – at least if you have any sense. A world where you are introduced to new people by people you trust. Or you meet people in real life (of course even then, there are so many predators that you cannot tell.)

The World Of Making Friends From Strangers Is Over, And We All Killed It!

We support companies that control our lives yet we do nothing to hold them accountable. Facebook is a flawed and defective product. If it was a baby crib it would have been pulled from the market if millions of babies were harmed. Yet we allow Facebook to destroy lives daily and no one cares, as long as it is someone else. Worse still Facebook has their own paid lobbyists and “Victims’ Advocates” to parrot Facebook’s views and goals to avoid significant liability. The only real organization that is attempting to change this situation is SCARS!

Scam victims are not at fault for being scammed, yet we are all at fault for not holding the products at fault that we use that led to this.

The Time Has Come Again For Us To Express Our Political Will

SCARS must use the political arena to advance causes that benefit victims, their families, and their friends. SCARS has to do this now while there are opportunities to support candidates and causes that will help with this problem – regardless of which color their party is. All we can hope is that you can see past the political craziness and help us in this crusade.

SCARS will be supporting specific candidates that are willing to support our platform for change of the Communications Decency Act, the enactment of global treaties to hunt down cybercriminals worldwide, and changes in policing to address the vast escalating growth of cybercrime and scams.

Lessons Learned

The lessons we have learned from nearly 3 decades of online scams is simply that:

  1. We must stop being complacent about our behavior online
  2. We must stop believing the internet is safe all the time
  3. We must start calling things what they are – Facebook is a defective and dangerous product
  4. We must alert everyone we know about these dangers – constantly
  5. We must support political positions that address these issues
  6. We must change the Communications Decency Act in the United States to stop the opportunities for scamming
  7. We must change our own behaviors to be safe online

If We Can Do These Seven Things We Can Stop Scamming

But it is up to each and every one of us to change ourselves right now or it will never happen. You cannot just expect that someone else will keep you safe in the face of a billion fake scammer profiles online. You cannot accept defective products that endanger you, your family, and friends. Facebook and Online Dating sites are defective products if they endanger us all.

So What Will You Do?

Will you change? Will you help? Will you demand better from product makers like Facebook, and from our politicians? Or will you keep doing the dangerous behaviors that brought you to this website, to begin with?

Act Don’t Complain!
Support Don’t Hate!
Demand Don’t Accept!

These are what it will take. We will tell you when we find candidates to advance our cause. We hope you can recognize the necessity and stand with us.
