It is essential that law enforcement knows about scams & scammers, even though there is nothing (in most cases) that they can do.
Always report scams involving money lost or where you received money to:
- Local Police – ask them to take an “informational” police report – say you need it for your insurance
- Your National Police or FBI (www.IC3.gov)

Michael Willison claiming to be serving our country in Kabul Afganistan is trying to scam me out of $750. I sent a care package to Fromberg Montana. He said it had to go through an agency to get to him. He wanted $100 for shipping & $100 for insurance on the package. I said no. There were about $100 for of gifts in package. After that he talked me in to buying him an iTunes gift card for $100. Have been texting for 2 months. He said he needed $750 to come home to be with me. That’s when I went to Army Recruiting Center yesterday & asked some questions. They told me don’t ever send anyone money. They pay for everything. So I feel I got off cheap. Michael was trying to make me feel bad by saying he was crying. I doubt that. I sure did learn a big lesson. That’s the 3rd time someone tried to scam me from these dating sites.
