I was also contacted by this individual whoever is representing William Garrett. The Diplomat requested $5,500. William claimed that he wanted to get to the US to see his son. He also wanted to get married after 2 weeks, buy a home, etc. Certainly not what I would expect a General or somebody in another capacity to act like. He also wanted to talk with me before I did the bank transfer. I exited out. I wish that others could see through the scam.
Glad you could escape it, but it sounds like your criminal was sloppy. If done properly they work very well. You simply had an incompetent scammer.
I was also contacted by this man. He stated that he was in Syria and a fellow from the United Nations diplomatic Service was trying to get a portfolio through customs and it was going to cost $26,400. The fellow from the United Nations doesn’t even work for the UN. They wanted me to come up with that amount of money. I declined.
You now understand that it was a scam, correct?
