Exactly the same lies zi was told! Unfortunately I didn’t know about romance scammers until after I was pursued for a year and lost over a $100,000. He proposed and also said his portfolio would be sent to me and he’d give me the code so I could be reimbursed the money I’d sent him . He also claimed him and his only surviving family member, a son named Evan and him wanted to move to the city I lived in and buy a home with almost a million dollars… I was so gullible and brainwashed by his “love bombing” …it’s a long story and I lost almost all of my savings So sad!!!

I had been communicating with General William Garrett for probably a month. I just continued after knowing he was fake. I was waiting for the ASK. You would not believe the thing he said and REALLY thought I believed the BULL. I even blocked him and he contacted me with another phone. Thank you for confirming
You can report “him” on http://www.Anyscam.com or share here in a comment.
Someone is chatting with me for about 3 months, he says he love n wants to marry me but says he is Lt. Gen. William Burke or Burke Garrett, but I don’t believe or trust him but I have feelings n I am scared that he is a scammer Please help me
First, it is a scammer. Second, go to our home page and read our THREE STEPS for NEW VICTIMS.
But you really need to stop talking with strangers online – they are almost always going to be scammers.
Please listen. I talked to this guy for 3 days and knew he was a scanner on the 3rd day. He is a really smooth talker.
Janice, you are not a fool, and you proved it by listening to the red flags and verifying “him.” Consider yourself a smart person, though intelligence is no real defense. You discovered what the defense is – listening to yourself and your concerns and not dismissing them. You might be surprised to know that you were probably talking to 2 or even 3 different criminals, they often work in shifts to maintain 24-hour contact with victims. So count your blessings that you dodged this bullet.
