How To Become A Successful Yahoo Boy
The following is extracted from an article about how to commit Romance Scams
SOURCE: NAIJAHOTS.COM BLOG
This is the opening statement of the article – that it was written by a practitioner – encouraging more to join their ranks.
This isn’t so good, but I would show you how to become a successful yahoo boy in Nigeria without the use of yahoo plus rituals. Most of you might have searched the internet for relevant tutorials, without making any headway. I became a yahoo boy while in the university, and trust me when I said I made quite a good amount of money as a yahoo guy in Nigeria. In this post, you will learn how to be a yahooyahoo boy. Yahoo boys are making so much money, and you can join them.
Not the writing style and quality of the grammar. This is not an uneducated person. This is a professional who is sharing his knowledge for others, just like a million other how-to videos about getting rich quick on the Internet. Most of those are scams also!
Why are we presenting this?
First, we block our website from all of Africa and the Middle East – where 85% of Romance Scammers reside – so that what we share cannot be weaponized and used against us and you. Second, in order to develop effective strategies to be used to combat online fraud, it is important to understand the scammers, their techniques, and approaches to scamming. We present this to help our readers understand both the methods and mindsets of the scammers.
Our Yahoo Trainer goes on to explain …
Yahooyahoo in Nigeria is one of the illegitimate online businesses, but with the nature of the economy, I think it is worthy to give it a try. You should also know that when caught, you risk going to jail – but who cares?
It is unfortunate that most people now dive into yahoo plus and do yahoo plus rituals because they believe that the regular yahoo no longer pays. But the truth is that it still pays. The step by step guide I will show you now won’t make you rich overnight, but you would be able to get started as a yahoo boy and become an expert along the line. You need the steps to become a successful yahoo boy?
What you immediately see in this is that the myth that Scammers Are Lazy and Stupid is totally false. They are committed, industrious, and very smart!
Here are the steps he recommends to become a Yahoo Boy as a beginner
Their first step is to equip themselves with the basic tool they will need.
STEP 1: GET A LAPTOP
Like you know, this is the first material to have if you intend to become a yahoo boy or do yahooyahoo. It isn’t good to get any piece of a laptop because it might not function properly. You should have a laptop with high processor speed, good ram size, high Hard-Disk size, and Web-Cam.
These are the qualities yahoo boys look out for when purchasing laptops for their yahoo business. Once you have the laptop, then you can now add other components to it. There are other things that should be added and installed on your laptop to make you succeed.
VPN: It is also called the Virtual Private Network. This would help you hide your IP address from the internet. The IP address discloses your location on the internet. Most sites to get your clients from, don’t accept Nigeria as a country of origin, and that would limit your participation. Also, you don’t want to use Nigeria as your current location because it is seen as a generally bad country to other foreigners.
Grammarly: Because you are about claiming to be from either USA or UK, you don’t want to be caught making mistakes in your grammar. Grammarly is an app that corrects grammatical errors in sentences. So when typing, it helps you polish your English and make it more presentable to your clients.
Dating Apps: There are several of them you can use if you want to become a successful yahoo boy as a beginner. You might not be able to phish foreign accounts as a beginner yahoo boy, so I advise you to start from dating first. When you have gotten to a certain level, you can then start attacking account and engage credit cards of your victims.
There are several dating apps that are recommended, and some of them are Okcupid, Dateme.com, eHarmony.com, livedatematch.com, etc. Look for anyone that suits you, but I recommend okcupid.com
This equips the Yahoo Boy with their primary weapon – their laptop and a browser. Grammarly is an especially important tool in that it helps the scammer perfect their writing in a more Westernized way – at least in English. Scammers will never move into other languages unless it is native to them or they learned by living in those countries.
STEP 2: CREATE THEIR ONLINE SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS
When you have started talking to someone and the chemistry is going on fine, the next step is to move to social media. It is necessary you create a social media account months before you start your yahooyahoo boy business.
The reason to create it ahead of time is to avoid suspicion from your client. Make sure you have accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat. You can look for pictures of unknown white people that you can’t find on Google, and use it as your profile picture. Download so many that you won’t run out of pictures to use.
We all know that Facebook is a natural environment for scammers, but why the others? Simply put, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat are far more isolating environments. Twitter has a bit of anti-scam information there (even we have a feed on Twitter) but most users only see what Twitter want to show them, plus what they follow – this means they do not really have access to anti-scam information. Instagram is even worse. The purpose of the scammer is to attack victims where they are isolated and vulnerable. Nothing is more isolated that Snapchat – all messenger platforms provide no real tools or information to prevent scamming – they are designed so that random people can reach you.
STEP 3: GET A FOREIGN PHONE NUMBER
To further solidify your claim as being genuine, you might need to move over to WhatsApp and start chatting. Don’t bother about how to get it, there are several ways to get it, and I can equally help you.
You should look at 3 [he only listed 2] things before you get a number:
- Your present country of stay (The country you will tell your client you are staying)
- The next country you will move to.
E.G: Most times I clone a U.S number, and inform my client I will be moving to Ghana for a business trip. Since I already have a Ghanaian friend, I will ask him to help me out with a Ghanaian number. That is the logic.
The aim is to look genuine for a while before you move over to your normal line. The truth is that you can make it look easy, but it depends on you. To become a successful yahoo boy in Nigeria is quite simple but you have to know how to play your game. Continue reading and I will guide you on how to become a professional yahooyahoo boy even as a beginner.
STEP 4: DOWNLOAD A CLONING APP
It depends on the gender you wish to take.
Some yahoo boys might decide to be a girl or a guy. So it means that you may decide to be a girl or boy, so you need to solidify your claim. In most cases as a yahoo guy, your client might decide to engage in video chats, and you need to prove yourself. To become a successful yahoo boy as a beginner, you need to go an extra mile to prove yourself to your clients.
What to consider before you start cloning:
- Your gender (Male/Female)
- Country of origin (US, Italy, UK, etc)
- The present country you stay
Once you download the cloning app, you can take up the face of anybody you wish, and the voice of any gender. All you need is just to specify your settings on the App, and the rest will take care of itself.
What Is The Yahoo Boy Format?
Our ready trainer explains what this format / philosophy is really all about.
This is where the main job lies. There are several formats you can use to charm your client into believing you are real. You have to know your format, prepare it and make sure you stick to the plan.
N.B: Never fall in love with your client (It disrupts your plans and moves)
There is a yahoo boy format to employ, and I will list out some of them.
- A soldier in a foreign country
- An expatriate in a foreign country
- A rich man in a foreign country and kidnapped
- A real lover that is sick and needs money to survive
Depending on situations, you can coin out your own format. The aim of all these is either of the following;
- Get your client’s account details
- Credit card details
- Make them send money to you
Surprisingly, this is really not a very complicated scam. Most con artists admit that the best cons are based upon simple techniques. The victim does most of the real work.
These scams employ a few basic fundamentals:
- Gaslighting – to confuse the victim and keep them off balance
- Triggering the Amygdala Hyjack – so that they own brain is working against the victims
The rest is just the basic mechanics of international money transfers.

A Note About Labeling!
We often use the term ‘scam victim’ in our articles, but this is a convenience to help those searching for information in search engines like Google. It is just a convenience and has no deeper meaning. If you have come through such an experience, YOU are a Survivor! It was not your fault. You are not alone! Axios!
A Question of Trust
At the SCARS Institute, we invite you to do your own research on the topics we speak about and publish, Our team investigates the subject being discussed, especially when it comes to understanding the scam victims-survivors experience. You can do Google searches but in many cases, you will have to wade through scientific papers and studies. However, remember that biases and perspectives matter and influence the outcome. Regardless, we encourage you to explore these topics as thoroughly as you can for your own awareness.
Statement About Victim Blaming
SCARS Institute articles examine different aspects of the scam victim experience, as well as those who may have been secondary victims. This work focuses on understanding victimization through the science of victimology, including common psychological and behavioral responses. The purpose is to help victims and survivors understand why these crimes occurred, reduce shame and self-blame, strengthen recovery programs and victim opportunities, and lower the risk of future victimization.
At times, these discussions may sound uncomfortable, overwhelming, or may be mistaken for blame. They are not. Scam victims are never blamed. Our goal is to explain the mechanisms of deception and the human responses that scammers exploit, and the processes that occur after the scam ends, so victims can better understand what happened to them and why it felt convincing at the time, and what the path looks like going forward.
Articles that address the psychology, neurology, physiology, and other characteristics of scams and the victim experience recognize that all people share cognitive and emotional traits that can be manipulated under the right conditions. These characteristics are not flaws. They are normal human functions that criminals deliberately exploit. Victims typically have little awareness of these mechanisms while a scam is unfolding and a very limited ability to control them. Awareness often comes only after the harm has occurred.
By explaining these processes, these articles help victims make sense of their experiences, understand common post-scam reactions, and identify ways to protect themselves moving forward. This knowledge supports recovery by replacing confusion and self-blame with clarity, context, and self-compassion.
