Payable-Through Account — A payable-through account is a correspondent arrangement through which a bank’s customers can conduct banking activities using its account at another institution. Access can occur directly or through subaccounts. The arrangement requires attention to underlying users and transactions because they may not be direct customers of the account-holding institution.
