Extraterritorial Reach — Extraterritorial reach describes how a law or legal requirement applies beyond the territory of the authority that issued it. It can affect foreign entities or transactions when the required connection to that authority exists. Application does not automatically permit officials to exercise enforcement powers inside another country.
