Drive-By Download Attack — A drive-by download attack causes malicious software to download or execute while a person visits compromised or malicious web content. It commonly exploits weaknesses in browsers or related software without obtaining meaningful user authorization. Updated software and layered browser protections reduce opportunities for exploitation.
