AnyScam™ Scam Search & Reporting

Twelve Years of Data

For more than twelve years, scam victims and volunteers reported the phone numbers, email addresses, names, and profiles that scammers used against them on AnyScam.com. That work now lives here, as the SCARS Institute AnyScam Database, rebuilt to make it easier to search, safer to use, and open to new reports.

Before you trust someone you met online, search for their phone number, email address, name, or profile link. You’ll see whether it has been reported to SCARS Institute, how often, and when. You can also read real messages that scammers have sent, with victims’ details removed, so you can learn to recognize their words before they reach you.

Help Protect Others

If a scammer contacted you, report their profile link, email address, or phone number. SCARS Institute staff review every report before it appears in the database.

Please keep in mind that a listing is a report, not proof. Scammers steal real people’s names and photos, and phone numbers pass from one owner to the next, so an innocent person can appear here. If something listed here belongs to you and is listed in error, use the removal request form at the bottom of this page, and we’ll review it. And if nothing turns up in your search, that doesn’t mean someone is safe: scammers change their numbers, addresses, and names constantly.

I am the victim of a military romance scan I was initially contacted on facebook, the profile has since been deactivated. He said we had to chat on google hangout b'cuz facebook was unsecure. I have our hangout conversations but I don't know how to copy the entire thing. After hangout, he started texting me directly and there were thousands of messages exchanged there that I can probably recover. I'm writing today to tell you how you could have been more helpful than you were when I contacted you last year. Whoever responded to my query told me I was a moron if I believed a 5-star general was chatting with me online. It was more likely to be chatting with someone who was a professional athlete than it was to think I was actually corresponding with retired 4-star general daniel b. allyn Your representative was very patronizing and rude in his, or her response when I asked if they could si…
