Twelve Years of Data

For more than twelve years, scam victims and volunteers reported the phone numbers, email addresses, names, and profiles that scammers used against them on AnyScam.com. That work now lives here, as the SCARS Institute AnyScam Database, rebuilt to make it easier to search, safer to use, and open to new reports.

Before you trust someone you met online, search for their phone number, email address, name, or profile link. You’ll see whether it has been reported to SCARS Institute, how often, and when. You can also read real messages that scammers have sent, with victims’ details removed, so you can learn to recognize their words before they reach you.

Help Protect Others

If a scammer contacted you, report their profile link, email address, or phone number. SCARS Institute staff review every report before it appears in the database.

Please keep in mind that a listing is a report, not proof. Scammers steal real people’s names and photos, and phone numbers pass from one owner to the next, so an innocent person can appear here. If something listed here belongs to you and is listed in error, use the removal request form at the bottom of this page, and we’ll review it. And if nothing turns up in your search, that doesn’t mean someone is safe: scammers change their numbers, addresses, and names constantly.

Lots of text have been send from ---REDACTED---. Was unable to talk bc he said he was in China and had and connection. Later "After the incident" I called that number from a different phone and a male person picked up with a heavy accent. Accent was not German.

I have texts about telling me about mixed up his passports. He said Birthday was ---REDACTED---. So I am not sure if this is his passport or passport is stolen. I wanted to see a official document bc he asked for money. Copy of passport attached.

Brief explanation on what happened:
Was meeting Fred on-line dating site: JDate "User Name: Dexter9F3D, I reported him to Jdate:---REDACTED---)
He send over his phone number as it would be better to communicate.
---REDACTED---. Also got emails from :---REDACTED---. He said he was in China and works on a refinery project in Chendu since it was
destroyed by a earthquake. But will retire after the job is done on March 1st. 2022
Some emails included:
I will never take advantage of you and I promise to treat you like a queen that you are! I am so excited and I am looking forward to meeting you. You are always on my mind. Love, Fredrick
Very charming.... HE said he wanted to be with me, would be so nice...
He, as it got closer to March 1st said that he is cash poor and had to pay off some of his workers and asked me if I could send him $5,000 so he could fly to Beijing and then to Washington DC. He wanted to be with me by the
weekend.
So first he asked for a Money Deposit then lots of going back and forwards he said to buy some Bitcoins, that's the only way he can get out of China and get a ticket. Then he wanted access to my bank account I never gave, I noted something fishy. So I asked for Passport or some
ID. That's when I found out that he is a scammer. And he wrote back : You caught a thief, I will let you win. Then he said that he want allow to call him a liar.

I use to live in Texas but I recently move down to West africa Ghana to visit my parents as am mixed in Tradition.so am currently living in Accra,Ghana now. Hope the distance isn't something more expensive to deal with as we can overcome the distance in a few seconds. also you know what the lord has put together,no one can put in ascender, as I don't mind to relocate to where i can have peace of mind,I Would like to work with you as a business partner's,Soul partners,Smile and laugh together to our satisfaction and to live great as Husband and wife..
