# Pig Butchering Scam Simulator

A crypto investment scam · A SCARS Institute text adventure

## Before You Begin

This is a text adventure, in the spirit of the classic computer games. Each scene tells you what is happening, and you choose what to do from a list of answers. There is nothing to type and no time limit, so take each step at your own pace.

The story follows the real path of a pig butchering scam, a cryptocurrency investment scam that begins with a friendly stranger and ends on a trading platform built by criminals. Resist it, give in to it, or do some of each, and see where each choice leads. Every playthrough draws a different story.

**A note for survivors.** If you have lived through an investment scam, parts of this story will feel familiar. You are free to stop at any time. Nothing here is about blame: the people who run these scams are skilled criminals who deceive careful, intelligent people every day.

This simulator saves nothing and sends nothing. It runs entirely in your browser, and the money in it is make-believe.

Tip: on a keyboard, press the number beside an answer to choose it.
