I filed a report regarding dating scammer Paulo James, supposedly an engineer in Sao Paulo, Brazil back in January of 2018. He attempted to convince me that he was who he said he was and I went along with him because I believed that he might be a good guy. He was not. He sent me a photo of “his” North Carolina driver’s license, one that does not exist in that State. North Carolina did not have a record of him, either by the name on the driver’s license (Timothy Paulo James), nor did the number match that name. Nor did the street address match any in that area. Later, “Paulo” agreed to Skype with me, something I have done with other people hundreds of times. He claimed that he was not able to speak during this due to a domestic issue. He just wanted to us to look at one another. When I waved or blew kisses he did not respond. I became more curious and researched the possible applications of programs that might be used in scams. Visis You will find it helpful. Eventually, “Paulo” did ask me for money, which I did not send him, and I realized quickly the person behind all of this was just a criminal and not a very smart one. Not too long after the money demands he found this website, saw my report, and stated that I was crazy. I am not. He demanded that I take it down, that the photos were all that mattered to him because he needed those for his job. He stated he did not care about the rest (names, address, or his “PA”). If one really told the truth about their identity why would they only be concerned about 10 year old photos? I was so exhausted from the whole experience I no longer was able to think clearly and do regret ever getting involved with this. It was an education, to say the least. Timothy Paulo James is a scammer, no matter what photo he uses. The Internet is full of websites just like this one to help us research these people. We are smarter than they are because it is our hearts at stake. We are the owners of our hearts and lives. They are not thinking, speaking, or coming from their hearts or souls. They are good at lying–that is how they makes a living. Ever meet a good car salesman? I have to admit that I was vulnerable at the time I began my first dating online experience at an older time in my life and this was very painful but it humbled me. I no longer desire to date online and wish to meet people in person from now on. These scammers take advantage of good people, vulnerable people. Do the research. Here’s another helpful hint. If you highlight the wording of your person you are corresponding with and paste it right into the Google search bar you will quickly see if his (or her words) are their own. None on “Paulo’s” was. He words were changed in various places but most came from words from songs. It takes time but it is enlightening and it might even empower you to help others. Pass it forward and let us all put these individuals out of business by not becoming their victims.

I would like to report a California scammer. I just won a 10 thousand dollar judgement on him. His name is Michael Dunn.. “Buffed Attorney” from orange and SanDiego counties in California. He claims to be a real estate attorney and preys on recently divorced or widowed women under the guise of helping them sell their homes. I personally discovered this in my PI work. I did not date this person but did get scammed by him in a bogus business deal from which I was awarded a judgement against him. I am just trying to warn other unsuspecting victims as it appears that this individual has a long term history of trolling for online victims.

of course it is a scammer. come on,anyone that asks u to send money, finance anything, pay any type of fees, etc is a scammer. a real person isn’t going to ask for anything to do with money if they are interested in getting to know u, be a friend etc. if money comes into the conversation in any way, it is a scammer.

They dropped in water so thats why it doesn’t work… I never knew being a porn star paid so little money that they ended up in Ghana. Is what I would ask them… And when I refused to send money they would actually get mad and start texting me profound words.. It became humorous.. I do the same thing, I play their game than bust them. Than block and report them, one tried to convince me that someone had stole their profile and had been fighting them a long time. I always look at their following list , look for similar features and age. I contact the asking if they personally know that person. That’s how I met one lady, we were talking to the same guy. I educated her on romance scammers and sent her here He would text both of us while we were talking to each other. Texting us about the same thing. Once I busted him, he went to her and complained how bad I hurt him. He turned out to be 23 year old out of Miami, he accidentally sent her his driver’s license picture with all the info.

Well, before I heard just block and walk away. I tryed to get justice, so to speak. If your scammer slips up and gives you their personal info, go to the police. I found out my scammer was in America. So I told her and showed her evidence against her. She hacked my computer to delete evidence, but its already on an FBI agents desk. I disagree with block and walk away. If you find you scammer left loose ends, exploit it. Im going to actually be present when my scammer is taken away in handcuffs.

Romance scammer name and alias: Esther Owuse or Louks

My Story. Hello everyone My name is John M Smith and my story is a sad one. My wife Josephine passed away 5 years ago from breast cancer. I was lonely and looking for companionship. In August of 2016 I was approached by a women on-line named Esther Owusu. She was a very nice and beautiful looking women. She befriended me and we spent hours chatting online. We quickly moved to Skype chats but I could not ever see her on video because her webcam was broken on her laptop and it did not work she said. This is where the bait was set and I was hooked. She started asking for money to get her laptop fixed and I should have known better. At first it was $50.00 then she needed money to help pay rent and said she lives with her grandmother and she is low on cash, so while I haven’t yet spoken to her I sent another $200.00. I am a 58 year old man retired on pension and have a fixed budget of $1200/month and advised her that I am not rich but she did not care and said she wanted to date and possibly get married soon but needed money and to get her USA passport because it was expired. So as the months passed I had spent all my pension and was maxing my credit cards to help this women. We spoke over the phone on countless hours falling madly in love. As the time progressed she sent further pictures but never really video chat. All my family were against this yet I pressed on saying to everyone this is the one. She is real, but little did I know I was blinded by a professional and a witch so to speak as she had casted a fools spell on me I think. She convinced me to spend everything I have and sell all my belongings totaling a loss of $32,000.00 now I am in debt and homeless. I am hoping this message will get to the right hands and stop anyone else from suffering and loosing their life savings. Now my family wont speak to me and I am a burden to everyone. I was scammed bigtime! I met a woman who promised me the world. 2 months down the road she wanted to meet half way, which was Laredo texas. She said she hasn’t been with a man in 2 years and she claimed to be a classy woman. She talked in odd fashion, using terminology and slang that I wasn’t accustomed to. It appeared to be taunting and Slutty, to be exact. She was 4 hours late when we met and I kept receiving calls asking what I was wearing, and If I was alone. I noticed on my last call that there were 2 men in a car, middle eastern and possibly one hispanic,mexican/puertorican, parked by my hotel room, both looked very nervous. I approached them, rather quickly and they sped off. 5 minutes later she arrived. First, she looked nothing like her pics, still pretty, but not mexican. She appeared to be Egyption, Turkish decent. She immiditatly pushed me in the room and before I could question her,she practically raped me. I didn’t mind of course, however, she seemed like a pro.after 15 months of her wanting to get married, pictures and video exchanges, I started to see pics, that were taunting, her phone calls we’re as well. She promised to be honest and true. She claimed to be a pharmacist, and would send pics and short videos. They were altered and I started to question if she was a hacker. She flew down again, but refused to show me a passport, never had an i.d.i began noticing writings and hidden texts on all her pics, “time to board ship,he’s catching on”. Her airplane ticket, had 3 pieces of paper underneath the read ” entered through the rear”. Last time we had sex,she jumped up and yelled “United we stand!” If this isn’t icis then she’s just plain crazy. I contact law enforcement but their response was “we don’t have intell, we are not capable of helping. They wanted me to hire a P.I. the P.I thought I was on drugs. 18 months and I pinned it! If anyone has info or can help, please contact me. She has hundreds of fake profiles on fb, and she’s a hacker,a computer whiz, that alters appearance, even removes tattoos. Claims to be 36.

Hi, I think I’m being scammed right now. Some handsome guy from the US. We met on a dating site and have been chatting since before Xmas 2015. Loads of red flags but I ignored it. He convinced me that he will be coming to South Africa and even showed me his flight e-ticket (booked just the day before he was supposed to leave on a business trip to Switzerland- dodgy how is a flight for a business trip booked in such short notice, over a weekend and if you’ve known about it at least a week). Anyway, he asked me to give him my full name and address. Full name I did not but I did give my address. He sent me a box with a few of his things and something for me.
Three days after I get a call from the courier company saying I have to pay a custom on it, nothing weird there, I’ve had boxes delivered before. Then they tell me the box was not insured by the recipient because it was sent domestically first before leaving the US and therefor was not caught that side, so I have to pay it. Next call…the box is in Johannesburg and was scanned by customs and they found what looked like a large amount of money in it. The courier representative told me that it is an offense and violates the anti-money laundering law. At this stage I got so scared, I thought I was going to jail. Then she (yes, a woman from my culture with the same accent so I trusted her. My people are not known to be rocket scientist and I would never have dreamed that they could even think of something so evil and take so much time to plan) calls again saying that she has spoken to th officials and the worst that can happen is that I pay a fine. If I don’t pay the fine the box will be disgarded. So I Whatsapp this man who sent the box and the story is that he put it in there to make arrangements for when he gets here (why would Americans do that, they have bank and credit cards) I paid nonetheless. But it was a huge amount, someone’s salary.
I get another call saying I now need a certificate and the certificate is salaries worth. All of these amounts are refundable of course as per the rep. I have decided I’m not paying this. This happening now and I want to know if there is anyway I can stop this and retrieve my money! The rep will call me this morning and I have just received an email.
    Please someone HELP.

What can I do? I am going to the police this afternoon. No one can close a bank account that fast surely. I’ve spoken to both my ‘boo’ and the courier company, they are threatening me with the authorities. At least I’ll know it was real when that happens right. For now I will go to the police and see what they can do…I have written off the money I have given them.

Remember, scammers are liars, that is what they do. Yes file a police report – even an informational report. A real courier company will never threaten you.

I also finally spoke to ‘my boo’ and his accent for sure was NOT American although he tried but failed miserably. I travel a lot and I can recognize accents, this man sounded Australian/New Zealand. I could not detect any sign of an African accent. This is absolutely disgusting what these people get up to. I trust that God has everything in hand and they will one day have their comeuppance.

I recently received a email that was from a scammer the first clue was that the profile picture the scammer was using was a completely different woman than it was in the photos they sent me in the email . I have heard that a lot of scammers don’t even read the letters you send to them.
So I thought I would test this and sure enough that’s true. The letter that was sent to me described in a long list all of her likes and dislikes.a couple of her likes was sky diving and wine tasting, and that she was very romantic.. She did not like drugs or unfaithfulness. So I told her that I was a slut didn’t have money to waist on wine tasting that I had a drug problem that took most of my money and as far as being romantic well it was like this I don,t sky dive but I have done a lot of muff diving with the girls that would let me and anal sex was a must. Two days later I got a letter saying how sweet my letter was and that she thought we would do good together and how good it would be to meet each other. I had to laugh and it proved to me that no they may not even be reading the letters you send to them..

I think I got scammed, this one was different than the rest, I meet this girl on a dating app badoo, the person name is Sandra Christina paxoa pereira 352 691 747 872 she is from Luxembourg, she claimed to talk to one person on there, then deleted do her profile, then we texted for a while using what’s app, so I didn’t want to waste time if this was fake so I asked if we could video chat, first incident that thought something was wrong was a dude answered her phone claiming to be her husband, and said he travels to Nigeria back and forth and warned me to stop calling her, then a day later she calls claiming that it was her brother who did that, he was drunk and he had broke her phone, so she said he would call to apologize, he never did. Second incident was we talked about meeting, so we made a plan for her to come se me and I come to see her, she said she would take off work for a week, a week before she was to come, she said she got sick, and didn’t know what was wrong, then the week she was supposed to get on plane I asked her for her flight number to meet at airport, she said wait I will give it to you later, then out nowhere she said she coughed up blood and didn’t know was happening, so she said she was going to call me back, never did till the day the flight was supposed to leave claiming she was in hospital and just got home, so I asked her why u didn’t say something when it happened, and I should have asked what was her flight ticket number, she said it was cancelled, So she had a pattern of doing this everytime we wanted to meet in person. I did give my id inf
o and home address and back account number , a few photos.
The starting saying wanted me to come there and stay with her, then two weeks later she said she got stomachs cancer, claiming she scared and saying it on if u don’t want to stay with me( guilt trip). I looked online to check nit this person was reported as a scammer but couldn’t find anything. Because of video chatting I thought it was ok. She did the same thing again two weeks later only this timeless agreed I would come there the days before I was to get ticket she disappeared for two days and then called later pretending everything was fine , I asked why she didn’t call she gave a excuse,
Next problem I had noticed she claimed to have cancer but will keep smoking. And the other fact I never saw her brother.
The 3 months we did talk before the problems everything was great, we talk all day, she even said she wanted to have a baby get married. She was the only one I saw with people I saw that spoke English so didn’t know what. So she made all these promises a when it came time it was bullshit, for the next 8 months we only spoke for more a few days or so sometimes once a month. In October asked her could I come see her, she said yes , then that same day, she claimed she didn’t feel good, and was gonna go to hospital so I asked her I would me her before she go out of hospital she said yes and would tell me where to go when she got to hospital, same pattern as the first time, never did, then I got a text saying she was in coma for a week from his everything r brother saying she love me if she does see me again. I asked to see him on video chat but would only text, I told him i bought plane ticket to come there and I needed to know where to meet her and wouldn’t give me no info, I lost money for that and she said he was supposed to tell me where to go and didn’t.
I confronted her on this type of stuff and called her out on this and said she never told me to come and her brother never uses her phone, saying I’m crazy and this stuff never happened.
She would get super jealous if don’t answer her calls and when asked about her address and where she worked she would disappear claiming her Internet was down.
She would also tell me she has to go to hospital in a specific day but disappear a week before then call saying she went the day she told me.
So in January after no calls for weeks she said she’s done with chemo but stilled smoked and said it was ok for me to come saying she is ready to get together, I told her ok but had no money to leave right away but she would send threw money gram, then this time never answered phone for two weeks, saying her life was to complicated and everything was bad with family and was in hospital for a week, I checked her Facebook and started noticing the was posting stuff on there while was offline to to talk. So she claimed internet was not good and could not video chat but would post on Facebook
So I started sling question s and pressing her on what she was saying and doing, and started paying attention, from January till march she started acting crazy, only called maybe two times a week
So instead of video calling I would call her directly and she would answer her phone,
I noticed she would start ignoring my calls completely, then posted messages on Facebook about she was gonna change her number and wouldn’t accept sims messages
The day after I saw that she called one day everything seemed fine, acting excited I was gonna finally come, then the next day send a text message saying bye find another women claiming her life it to complicated , funny she’s got done with chemo back in January and all those promises were made she would back out of it, it was only when I told her just send me her address I would come see her she started acting like this. One time I caught her the week after she wouldn’t called she asked if I was still coming playing games and shit.
Another thing I noticed like Valentine’s Day I wanted to buy her something and send it to her she would turn off her phone and avoid me and call back days later
So the last time I got fed up with this I asked her the same questions and she claimed that her cancer had come backed it was the same pattern, kept smoking avoid calls, and make promises. So I was like this is a scam this stuff keeps happening the exact way every time
So I told her I would come on the 20 and if she was gonna be out of hospital to let me know how long she was gonna be in, she said the doctors don’t know but I told her I have two weeks to purchase tickets so she told me it would be two weeks and would call me when she talk to doctor the day she was supposed to go she deleted her video app to talk to me didn’t answer my call, so I confronted her saying this is a scam and she very angry saying she was I her way to Doctor and promised she would call when she got there,
Never called even took all photos down off Facebook
So she made up another lie for two weeks saying she would be in chemo but I called the hold thing off completely a week before saying is a scam I’m am going to report u, guess what she answers her phone saying she just got home very angry saying I be eve asked her to give me the day she was done with hospital, making up more lies to cover up because I knew now, then she said all this never happened I was supposed to wait to weeks but she was home before and I asked here why never turned on video chat it was all bullshit,
She has a African accent in phone don’t trust this person don’t know what she’s after online, she would make up lies after lies would forget stuff she said, complete memory loss, don’t get fooled by her saying she never had sex for a year she posted a couple photos in sexy underwear but she world want u to show her personal photos but would do either, but claimed she loved sex a lot but it’s been a year this person is crazy, don’t waste time because nothing will happen don’t know what she’s doing with jnfo

Please add Alfred Abrams or Fred Abrams, a structural engineer scammer. Email address [email protected] phone number: +18036195725. He is supposed to work in Singapore and then had a contract to repair an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. I met him through Internations which was not a dating site so I did not think hewas a scammer. He used the tactic on buying equipment from UK and thenhad no money to pay for the import tax, then had to pay a government agency to clear theequip equipment and then needed money to air lift the equipment tothe rig. After that, everything should be ok but lo and behold, an attorney emailed him and he was supposed to pay for unpaid taxes. By that time,I woke up from my stupidity and did the right thing. Block him. I was trying to search his name in the internet earlier but I did not get anything. After this experience, I googledromance scammer and my story is so familiar.

I notice something about the scammers that got me wondering about their patterns that set off warning signs yet I played them long enough to lose interest and then I just don’t response to them.

For one they don’t stayed online long especially when you’re online most of the time there’s at least 6-8 hours of non communication with you as if they are sleeping or there’s many times that they use excuses that they had a black out (storm power outage) bad connection there (Africa seems to have bad connection really??)

They always seems to be having a birthday in the current month when you meet them or coming up soon.. I find that very odd.

Another thing is Phone they always come up with needing phone and it has to have certain features on the phone, camera especially.

Another warning sign I notice is the scammers seems to get upset over dumb things or accused you of not loving the person, or following your heart.

When there’s a disagreement and you’re trying to explain or get an explanation from them it doesn’t compute or make sense.

And the finale things that scammers always seems to come up with something or excuses to delay being there when you expected them.
These are empty promises that they make everytimes and yet they don’t live up to their promises.
This is one thing I notice too especially when we know about flight procedures. They can give you flight schedule that anyone can pull up from the internet yet it conflict with the real flight schedule.

The one thing that all the scammers will not accept you to buy the flight or bus ticket. Because they really don’t want to leave so they would ask you to send them the money and they’ll buy the ticket themselves. Even if they go along with you buying the tickets they would used they don’t have their ID and they would want you to send the money to their friend to pick up the money to buy the ticket.
I always tell them that money seems more important than Love that usually when they change the subject. Whenever money comes up they would tell you to try understand them.

To understand them when they can’t explain something you asked for explanation. This is where I get upset with them and then they would say they’re tired, bore, or need to get some rest. The next day they would think that you forgot about it and start being sweet.

I’m sharing this because these scammers do the same things as others would.

I found out too late what scammers ill do. I lost my husband in 2012. In late 2013 I was contacted by a man on Facebook who said he knew e. Being a nurse, I thought he was a former patient. He told me he was depressed and thinking of ending his life. My first instinct was to try and help him. It was all a lure and I bit. He was supposedly living in Atlanta, GA. Suddenly I brought him luck and he got a contract for a job as an oil Engineer in Nigeria. I was dumb and naive. I had been married for 45 years ad never knew about the scams and how the scamers zeroed in on widows. End result, I helped him to rob me of everything. My husbands insurance, my brokerage account nd most of my IRA to the tune of over 400,000. dollars. He loved me and was coming to my hometown to marry me. Everytime he was supposed to be here someting came up and he needed fnancial help. His equipment was bening held and not released. His equipment broke and he needed to buy something new from China. He had oil spillage. Hospitalization bill where they wouldn’t discharge him unless he paid his bill. The list was endless but by the time all of this was happening, he had me snared and in love.
No one could convince me he was a scamer, but he was and is still. Then he gave me th names of women that would send my funds to him because Western Union and others said there were too many scammers. Now I sit here feeling so hurt because he wanted me to send him 2000. dollars tomorrow morning for his airfare from Nova Scotia to Atlata, GA . He said he was in Nva Scotia but the fnds were still being sent to Nigeria. I asked and he got upset and never answered or said, I should ask the ladies who sent his funds there.
He couldn’t remember the name of his dog yesterday and never wanted me to ask himqestions. Told me I was asking silly questions. Said he no longer planned to come here because it was always quarrels and fighting. He told me to send him 1,000. dollars tomorrow and 1,000. dollars the next day through Moneygram. He said I want you to send the funds tomorrow and the next day. I told hi No, because I did’t have the funds. He got upset, I guess because he probably ad to ake more contact for money. He finds these ladis on Facebook and loves them all and wants to marry the but he needs funds. I have cbtacted some of them and they all send the funds to Nigeria because he tells them to. I told him tonight, he didn’t even ask for the funds just told me like the Nigeriian men tell there women must do like an order. I’m sorry this is so long but I am hurting insiide and feel like a complete fool. I rally needed that money for the upkeep on my hoe and a car since mine is 16 years old and my late husbands gravestone. I live on a fixed income and I cannot afford to live on what he leaves me each month from my monthly income. Please beware of him (John Robert)and Mark Williams, Martin Roberts, Brian L Martin. It is all the same man with different photos on Facebook.

How do you search the pictures that have been used? I have been talking to same guy for a year now. Still never get pictures but recognize the voice is same person over the period of time we have been talking. His English has improved. Think I could recognize him anywhere if I heard the voice. Want to know who the pictures are of. Have found no information to prove or disprove his story.

Is there a scam where the person is real and they actually did meet him in person? I know this guy my friend met is scamming somehow. He set off every red flag and has is over the top with love and affection. He flashes money and hasn’t asked for anything. Is there a long term type of scam?

Yes, this happens in one of two fundamental ways. 1: this is a person in the same country, such as the U.S. – this is called a Con-Artist. 2: this is someone in the Philippines, Latin America, Asia, who uses their real identity, and this is simply their way of making a living. In the second case, they will probably have a boyfriend and children (though you or he will never see the boyfriend or husband). The rule is if it smells, it is probably rotten, regardless of what your eyes tell you!

I have received 3-4 emails from a man who is supposed to be a man whom I was supposed to had been in an online relationship with for nearly a yr and recently was told by my scammer he had been using his pics and gave me this story, wont go into it, but now the REAL MAN is supposedly emailing me and I would like to know is there ANY WAY of finding out EXACTLY WHO and WHERE these emails are coming from? I ofcourse am not believing a man who scammed me for nearly 1 yr and out of nearly $500.00 not to mention crushed my heart and life into a million pieces when he told me he was the one I had been talking to all that time and then told me the mans REAL NAME SUPPOSEDLY!! I had someone check the man out on google, his name is what my scammer says it is and he does live where he said he does, but his job isn’t anything like my scammer says it is…not unless google doesn’t have it listed for privacy reason!
Can you check his email add and tell who is sending them and from where??? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW BEFORE THIS GOES ANY FURTHER…
Thank you very much, Joyce Thompson
P.s please let me know ASAP!

Yes you can verify everything and should. What would you do if someone asked you to verify your location? Use your smartphone and take a selfie of their town or workplace. Do you have a phone number? Can you call it, and does it go to voice mail or other message – probably a forward number used by a scammer. The emails themselves are probably the best tool to confirm the location of the person. Are you using Microsoft Outlook? Gmail? Search online for how to find the email header for your email client, then copy the email header into our tool: It will help you know where the email is coming from. Anything other than what you think, and consider them a scammer. But really, it is not hard to tell if it is a real person, real people are messy, they have lives, jobs, and do things. Real people have complex social media profiles, and real jobs. ANYONE IN WESTERN AFRICA IS A SCAMMER, IF Eastern Europe then you have to use a background agency.
