RSN™ Announcement: Please Read!! We Won!

We Won Against Facebook

As our Facebook followers know, in August 2018 our original RSN Main Page (facebook.com/onlineromancefraud) was “Shadow Banned” by Facebook.

You have probably read in the news what this means – it has affected thousands of more conservative blogs and news sources, as well as business pages on Facebook – anyone that disagrees with Facebook or has a contrary view to their moderators was Shadow Banned – it means that they took away the function that put our new posts into our followers Facebook News Feed. Meaning that our followers stopped seeing any new posts that we published on our previous RSN Main Page. Facebook even admitted they do (click here).

Effectively This Killed Our Page Audience Without Facebook Deleting The Page

Of course, this gave Facebook the ability to claim nothing really happened – but we know because thousands of people stopping seeing our work.

When this happened, we immediately complained to Facebook and only received silence as a response. We knew this is what happened since the web was filled with stories of other Facebook pages getting the same treatment. We thought all hope was lost of correcting this, so we created a new RSN Home Page.

Because of our SCARS Chairman’s past connection with the U.S. President we sent a letter (you remember those right? Written on paper in an envelope with a stamp?) to the White House asking for them to intercede on our behalf. They indicated that they would try. We didn’t hold our breath!

This very morning – we see a brief pop up message when we were checking the status of that page that said:

“Facebook had corrected the calculation of reach that occurred during the month of August”

The message did not remain long enough to do a screen capture, but astoundingly, all of our reach – meaning ability to appear in news feeds had been restored on the old page. Keep in mind it was only the ONE page – we have nearly 200. If it had been an error it would have affected more than just the one – our highest profile page!

While the reach was very small it was there in the numbers, compared to what had been ZERO previously.

We can hardly believe it!

We would like to publicly thank President Trump and his amazing staff for any assistance the rendered on our behalf.

But now we have a problem! When we lost our reach to our followers, we mothballed the old page (facebook.com/onlineromancefraud) and created a NEW RSN Main Page (facebook.com/RSN.Main.News.And.Information.Home.Page).

So now what do we do? We have all of you now used to following this page and have clearly indicated the other page is frozen and is an archive of our older content.

What should we do?

Stay adding content to this NEW RSN HOME page only?

Add content to both pages?

This is one of those “be careful what you wish for” moments!

Frankly, we never thought we would win!

However, we truly thank all of you for your amazing support that you have shown over the ten years we have been on Facebook.

FAQ: How Do You Properly Report Scammers?

It is essential that law enforcement knows about scams & scammers, even though there is nothing (in most cases) that they can do.

Always report scams involving money lost or where you received money to:

  1. Local Police – ask them to take an “informational” police report – say you need it for your insurance
  2. Your National Police or FBI (www.IC3.gov)
  3. The Scars Worldwide Reporting Network HERE or on www.Anyscam.com

This helps your government understand the problem, and allows law enforcement to add scammers on watch lists worldwide.
